- Fonts and scripts are loaded exclusively from our own server.
- We count page views and clicks on provider links, but store no IP addresses and no identifiers that could recognize visitors.

Hosting and server log files
When you visit serverradar24.de, our web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, amount of data transferred, referrer, and browser and operating system (user agent). This data is stored in server log files to operate the website securely and reliably and to fend off attacks. The log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website.
The server is hosted by: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider.
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) for name resolution (DNS) and as a proxy that protects the website against attacks and speeds up delivery. All requests pass through Cloudflare's servers, which process the connection data listed above, including the IP address. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; a data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the security and availability of the website.
Counting page views
We count how often each page is viewed per day. Only the date, domain (.de or .com), page and number of views are stored – no IP addresses, no cookies, no device or browser identifiers. It is not possible to identify individual visitors.
Usage statistics with Matomo (only with consent)
If you consent in the notice on your first visit, we use the open-source software Matomo to analyse how the website is used: pages viewed, time and duration of the visit, the page you came from (referrer, e.g. a search engine), browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language and country. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored, so it can no longer be linked to you.
Matomo runs on a server we operate in Germany (analytik.scherbarth-solutions.de); the data is not shared with third parties. Matomo sets the cookies _pk_id (recognising returning visitors, 13 months) and _pk_ses (current visit, 30 minutes). We delete the raw data after six months at the latest; aggregated, non-personal reports are kept.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) of the German TDDDG. We store your choice in your browser (local storage) and ask again after twelve months. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the "Privacy settings" link in the footer; this deletes the Matomo cookies. Without consent, Matomo is not loaded.
Clicks on provider links
Links to providers first pass through a redirect on our website (/go/…). We store the provider, the offer, the chosen location if any, the domain, the page the click came from and the time. We do not store IP addresses or other identifiers. The count shows which providers and offers attract interest and is used for settling accounts with affiliate programs. We delete the individual clicks after 24 months.
After the redirect you are on the provider's website, where the provider's privacy policy applies. Affiliate links carry a partner ID of ours; the provider or its affiliate network may set cookies on its own website to attribute an order to our recommendation. We have no influence on this.
Availability and price alerts
When you set up an alert, we store your email address, the settings of the alert (server, location and maximum price, or the search filters), when it was set up and confirmed, and which offers we last reported to you. The alert only becomes active once you open the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in); unconfirmed alerts are deleted after 48 hours. The purpose is to notify you about the offers you asked for. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (providing the service you requested).
Every email contains a link to a page where you can view and delete your alerts; email programs that support it also offer one-click unsubscribe. When you delete an alert or unsubscribe from all, the data is deleted immediately, including your email address when you unsubscribe from all. For our statistics we count the alert emails sent (time, number of alerts and matches); unsubscribing removes the link to your address, and the count is deleted after 24 months.
We send the emails through the mail server of our email provider: ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf.
Price and offer data
We fetch prices, specifications and availability from the providers' interfaces on our server. No data about you is transmitted to the providers when you visit our website.
Applying as a provider
Hosting companies can apply through the "For providers" page. We process the company, website, name and email address of the contact person, the feed URL, its credentials if any (stored encrypted) and an optional message, in order to review the application and contact the applicant; once accepted, the feed data is used to fetch the offers regularly. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to a collaboration). Rejected applications are deleted after six months at the latest.
When a feed is tested, our server fetches the given URL; no data about you is transmitted.
Provider portal
Providers whose offers we list receive access to the provider portal (/portal) by invitation. For this we store the name, email address, the password (as a hash only) and, if set up, the key for two-factor sign-in (encrypted). After signing in, the portal sets a technically necessary session cookie that becomes invalid when the session expires; choosing "Remember me" adds a cookie that keeps you signed in until you sign out. We log sign-ins and failed sign-in attempts with a shortened email address and the IP address to detect attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR); this log is deleted after 14 days. The legal basis for the account itself is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (collaboration with the provider). We delete accounts when the collaboration ends or at the provider's request.
Contacting hosting providers
We email hosting companies to list their offers on ServerRadar24 or to coordinate with providers we already list. For this we store the company, website, name and business email address of the contact person as published by the company itself (e.g. in its legal notice), the state of the contact, internal notes and the messages sent. The emails are sent via ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to win providers for a complete comparison. You can object at any time; a short reply to our email is enough. We then stop contacting you. If no collaboration comes about, we delete the data two years after the last contact at the latest; after an objection we keep only the company and email address with the note that no emails are wanted, so that we do not contact you again.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise them, contact [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.
